@Swaps4 it isn't about the browser rather the high resolution where 10px fonts look pretty small. The text Dismatikz mentioned as well as the "recent anime" text pretty small and has low line-height. Once zoomed-in, it is easier to read but it still lacks a bit of line-height. Just compare it to the readability on your blog (which I checked) and you'll notice the difference Other than that, it is OK design wise, but there's a lot to be done in image optimization to make it load even faster: - Optimizing images on Haruhi style page could reduce their size by 516.7KiB (35% reduction) - Optimizing images on Shinobi style page could reduce their size by 600.4KiB (37% reduction)
Hey robaid, thanks for the feedback. All the images are cached and themes are already optimized, so I don't fully understand what you are saying.
OK, here's an example: http://haruhichan.com/static/images/style/haruhi/body.jpg = 152KB ~ There are many tools you can use to optimize an image and choose right image quality, but here's a free online tool http://smush.it and it is hosted by Yahoo. When you run it through the tool, the same image size = 78.59 KB (savings 73.79 KB or 48.42%) You can optimize multiple image URLs at once or compress your images or select multiple images to "smush" before you upload them to your server.
Don't want to sound harsh but this looks like it's from the 1990s ( or well, maybe the early 2000s ). The header and bg effects look somewhat decent, however when it boils down to usability, typography and so on...I can't really comment much on that. In the end, if it does the job for you than it's okay. Good luck
I tried to smush it and barely see the difference, the algorithm works in a way to optimize it without noticeable changes to the human eye. YOu used that www.smush.it tool?
