Hey i got this site with adsense on it http://pcwallpapers.funpic.org. I would like to increase my CTR. Could you review the site and try to give me some ideas on where to move or ad the ads better? By the way i just blended "ads by google on top of my real content links,do i violate the rules?
I personally do not like the ads in the middle. They are almost too much. My first impression when I landed on this page was to leave. You might want to consider remove the center advertisement and put some intro text. Try it out for a day and see what you get. Never hurts to experiment.
i like the placement on the right, but not in the center, first impression is that this site has no wallpapers.
Do you really want your visitors clicking on your ads and leaving your site from your home page? I suggest focusing on your internal pages where you already have nicely placed horizontal ads at the tops of the pages. Maybe add another horizontal at the bottom because many of your visitors will scroll down each page. If you really want ads on your home page, I suggest horizontal ads just like on the internal pages. The vertical ads are very distracting to visitors who have probably never seen vertical ads in the middle of a page before. The ads also muck up your nice presentation. Personally I would take the ads off the front page, but then it's not my site. I would also remove some of the actual screenshots off the front page and encourge more linking to internal pages -- where the ads are.
Okee i followed your comment on placing another ad below the page,i hope it works. Another about that....i also made a topic on this forum about my low earning per click and somebody told me that i am dealing with smart pricing and shouldnt put up to much adsense ads,i have 2 now if i follow what you say. Is that still reasonable?
After using Adsense and receiving payments... I realised that Google Adsense is all about these 5 points. The right ad format and placement The most profitable keywords to target Tonnes of targeted content Huge amounts of free traffic from search engines Great statistic report giving you better feedback than Google will EVER give
