Review my ad placements please

    Yes, they're absolutely fine. Too many people overload the page with ads, but having only a few well placed ones can be just as effective. You've balanced it right.

    I'd try replacing that top horizontal ad unit with a link unit, you'll get a much higher ctr :)

    Yes they look good. Can you try moving the first ad unit to appear below the title and date of the first post? I think it will get you a much better CTR.
