    I think your positions of ads are ok. But anyway if you will not be satisfied with clicks experiment with some position changes cause it is hard to give general rule for all sites, thematics, etc.

    Ad placement is fine. I would try getting rid of the border in your ad units and see how that works out.

    That's a right choice but if you are not getting enough clicks then i think you should also try to remove the border of the header ads
