Around two years ago I created a mp3 search engine with playlist and flash widget features, the entire script was coded by myself and used on a site. The company I used for the API used for the search engine however went bankrupt last year so I abandoned the website. I recently started up a new media company called Laurus Media (formally mbd5882.net, we sold a popular music search script on here over a year ago) and I decided to sell a brand new music search script on the website. So I decided to recode the mp3 search engine script, it is currently being developed but the music search, flash playlists, and user area of the website is fully working. The planned video search will have playlist capabilities, which can also be embedded the same as music playlists. Other planned features are the ability to add users as friends, commenting on songs and profiles, creating multiple playlists, a better branded flash playlist player, and upload your own music (for bands / artists). Any feedback on the design, features, functionality, etc would be great so that they can be added when the script is released.
Great script. But its better if you change the permalink + to - Fo expamle: /Blink+182, change to /Blink-182 in search result.
a bit bright for the colors but its nice, yeah bump on the first thread, change the text on the page.
what script are you using i want to add that to my site somehow but i already have a database driven site.

I want to get it finished and fully working first I have had a few people say its too bright, I could add different colour themes to the script which the admin can change? Also, the script has been entirely coded by Laurus Media over a period of several months. We are planning to release the script for sale at some point later on in the year.
Do you have any suggestions on what colours I could use? Also, we have a Facebook application for the script too. You can see that here
I liked it, looks awesome. Found exactly what I wanted to hear and I could listen to it without downloading the song. One remark though - white text on orange background might be difficult for some to read. Try a more eye-pleasing color combination.
maybe ads feature should be optional, I know that I am annoyed when I venture to sites full of ads, many people complain about browsers locking up. Anyways how much will you be selling this script for?
I had a question about your site i just created 1 of them things on my server and i was wondering what would be the best option for it to search for Independent Music and Unsigned Musicians under the creative common licensing for song streaming and downloading i want to re-invent the wheel so to speak so it will also search my music sites for music and DJ Mixes could you email me and we can discuss some things. Thanks for the comments I will be changing the colour themes used and get rid of the orange background. I'll try and code something in so that you can change the colours using the administration panel. I'm not particularly a fan of ads either, I will make an option in the administration panel to enable / disable the advertisements completely We're not sure about the price yet, we are going to wait until it has been fully finished and all bugs have been fixed Adding a complete template system would take a whole rewrite of a lot of the script and the way the code is structured, we are already looking into this for the next major future version release. Pretty much all of the music features are complete. Still need to add basic video and lyrics search. Then we may release it, and keep adding new features every few weeks as upgrades. I'll PM you matt
We have added new features too the script: Ajax Search Suggestion Artist Listing for SEO Advertisements (can be disabled or changed in the admin panel) Still need to start working on the administration panel, and then the script should be ready for release by the end of the week. Still not sure if we are going to add in video and lyrics search, or add that in at a later time as an update.

Hurry up Hurry...lol I want it now. make the ads feature where those who have a license to the script may ad their own ads, not ads that are pre-made into the script. Can I buy it now and get the rest of what it will come with when you finish? I am ready to by an mp3 script now, I have already been waiting for months and I want your script. I want it now.... pouting and begging at the same time (smile)/.....lol I am trying to keep from buying someone elses script but I don't know how much longer I can wait
My suggestions: - Use a lot of ajax or jquery. ----Like when user searches for a song, make it a drop down menu with suggestions. ----Searches for songs will list out the short bio of the artist, available albums cover, available videos related to the artist on youtube or other sites. -Options for owner to specify amazon id. So, on the result page beside each result should have "buy this song/album" with amazon link. -Function to disable songs download.
Its looking nice but as per the new technology you should use ajax and search should be little faster. Its working so slow for me right now.
