Review HijackMe.com

Hello,

I recently finally found the time to put HijackMe.com online and would be now really happy to hear someone else's opinion or ideas about the site's layout.

To give a quick overview about what is, HijackMe.com offers a unique way of advertising. For a one-time fee the advertiser gets the whole screen for his website or a promotion or whatever.

Please let me know whether there is something I could improve. Thanks very much.

It got hijacked! LOL

Not an auspicious start to trying to sell a service.

 

It's probably down because it's being dismantled and rebuilt with a few modifications by the Security Services.

 

It is up and running all the time.

Its a frame site ... like when you link out of about.com there is nothing special or intriguing to me.

Sorry I don't see anything unique about this advertising approach. Without lots of traffic it won't be much good to anyone. You could simple lease your domain and accomplish the same.

 

Well, I asked for comments about layout

 

One thing I noticed was that if I go check out a tutorial like Mouse drag movement, once on the page, I cannot see what it belongs to. Meaning if it is JavaScript, PHP, Game Maker or any other interpreter. If you ask me, that is confusing.

I think you should fix that, especially since not every single visitor of yours will first go on you home page. Many times people just refer to articles by directly pointing the URL to them.

Like I said initially ... its a simple frame, what do you want people to say or better, what do you want to hear ....

 

Well, first there is the content in the lower frame and then there is also still the other page reachable over the navigation frame.

I am just asking for comments or suggestions about the layout.

 

I'm sorry but I agree that the site is not very interesting. it's pretty simple. I can understand if you are just providing some sort of information. Seem's to me you are selling a service. Need's to show your creativity and alents. not saying you have to load it up with flash or useless features, just make me want you to make a site for me. If i'm looking to get a family photo albumn made I'd use your site. As for a business site (thats were the money is) it shows no personality.

Not to sound discouraging.. Keep it up. Design is probably the most difficult process. You have rules and guidelines for database design and coding. Website design comes from your imagination. You'll get.. I like to drink a bottle of wine before I design, it opens my mind to things I would not normally try..
