Hello DP users ! I want some advices about a new website of mine. The website is My Image Host, a free picture hosting and sharing services. I want to know your honest opinion about graphics, layout, other things that I've missed. If you notice something wrong, please specify what browser and OS do you use. Any other advice about the site / service is welcome. Thank you.
just added some functions: - users can create galleries - when uploading, you can upload directly to a specific gallery, if you created one before.
Way to cramped, file location boxes go all the way to left center column, browse buttons overflow the center column. The text on the left looks like an ad and will never be read. Get rid of the right side adense ad, adjust the upload boxes right and let the content text flow and make it bigger. Beyond hideous homepage that is easy to fix, good job on the rest.
Add more spacing to the text. It looks too cluttered. Your AdSense at the bottom also looks messy. G'luck!
i would break down all the text on the left into paragraphs, and i would only have one browse button with the option to add more. other than that, good job!
Cool site sir,I have uploaded my picture to it ...but please be aware of spammers to upload Porn materials....
I am very careful with the adult pictures , I know that I can have problems with adsense because of it. I am thinking in the future to allow adult pictures (my host allow me), but when I do, I will remove adsense from my site, and switch to adbrite.
Looks like this on my computer unless i turn off the ad-blocker http://media79.net/?image=1242823706.png Code (markup): Aside from that though, don't you think it would look good with just one upload box visible and then give people the option of adding more with ajax rather than having a load of them just there on the homepage.
damn.. what browser do you use and what OS do you have ? Another person saw it in the same way several days ago.
Sorry, should have mentioned that. Firefox 3.0.10 + AdBlock Plus Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1
Hmmm.. I dont know about this... I use the same firefox as you, but on XP, really don't know what is the couse to this. Maybe that Adblock ?
