I have a forum that I have been running since May 2006 and have found myself lacking posting there the last few months and not updating much.

I am wanting to add more Webmaster sections to the forum. Would that help?

Please review the forum www.MoneyTalkPro.com and let me know what you think. I will probably have to get more moderators also to help keep the forum more active and clean.

SMF isn't designed to handle such a large scale base. I agree with WestBoy, you need to shift over to vBulletin.

Could I shift it myself easily?

Should I add the webmaster boards like " buy, sell, trade.. link exchange.. etc? "

I for one hate forums that pay to post. It seems that the only ones posting are the ones who care about the money.

However, it looks good. One thing I would recommend by looking through the forum is setting up a no fee payment plan through paypal. I know many other sites pay you through Paypal and Paypal charges no fees to the receiver. I am not sure how it done but it might inspire more posters.

The best way to know about adding more categories is by your members. Ask them what they think. If there is a need for webmaster categories than add them. That does not seem to be the niche of the forum but it could if members want it.

I am not sure what your payout is because I could not find what points are worth. Make that as clear as possible also.

The key to a forum is to promote it like crazy and being there everyday or having people who care about the forum being there. You have to be a visible active member for people to know it is active. It takes constant babysitting to continue the success.

I also agree that vBulletin will allow you to do more.
    Good Luck!

i dont think adding new webmaster sections would help. Get new moderators first and clean up the forum (IMO)

I would suggest a move to vbuleltin as well or at least IPB, it's good but seems very low activity wise which is a shame also the design hasn't really moved on from anything just really original and tbh if am just going off content well as they say it's not quantity that counts it's quality.

I don't really like the theme and the logo. I also would have suggested IPB to vBulletin, but I think it's more of a personal opinion.

After messing with vB for years I just found IPB to be much more intuitive.
