http://www.integrityebooks.com/ 850 Uniques later... and no revenue except for $6.03 in Adsense. What is wrong with it? Is it the template or are the products not up to snuff?
I'm sorry but could someone please move this thread to the websites review section? I meant to put it in there. Sorry
I don't think 6 dollars on 850 visitors is bad ECPM. I calculate that at roughly 7 dollars per thousand page views and that's more than I usually get. So unless your CTR is below 2%, you have nothing to worry about except of course building content - because your pages are a bit empty, in many places.
looks good, I feel like you blended the ads nicely and you should be OK. Promote the site and get some traffic and you should be fine. Thanks
Id work on the template a bit. Your layout seems turkney and unprofessional and could be leading cause of your 0 sales. Good luck.
yeah, the stock osCommerce layout looks pretty unprofessional. Why not use one of the oscommerce templates on templatemonster? Personally, I think something like this looks *worlds* better than what you have up there now.... http://www.templatemonster.com/oscommerce-templates/12313.html Another problem i have with stock osC is that you can't see the cost of shipping without having to register for an account. if you install google analytics or other traffic analyzing software, you'll be able to see where it is that your potential customers are abandoning their cart. I'd be willing to bet that it's on the page that asks them to 'create an account' before they can checkout. More problems I have with osC are the extremly long checkout. Do you realize that your checkout is 8 pages long? And if you're only using paypal, then a customer has to go through 11 different webpages just to purchase from you. Anyone that knows anythign about ecommerce will tell you that the longer your checkout is, the more customers you'll use. Those are just a few things to get you started. Best of luck.
it just looks like a standard website blue+white and sry but the adsense makes it look cheap this is an opinion not a critacism
The layout idea is good, but everything else should be. Move the logo to the left. Make the slogan smaller. Move the gray menu to the right. I think that the central part doesn’t need boxes.
I don't think oscommerce usually generates a lot of clicks. My store, www.insectstore.com only generates clicks mainly from website content. You site seems to be selling products, more than displaying content. However, try adding a link block at the top like I have, they work quite well!
It looks like you're selling "real" books i.e. Romeo and Juliet, and your ads are showing work at home and adwords sites. Maybe people aren't clicking because they are looking for real books, and not looking to "make money at home". Just a thought, good luck with the site, though.
at least change color in the footer for About Us | Help and FAQ | Terms & Conditions | Privacy Notice | Join Our Link Exchange | Contact Us so it can be readed
If i was you i would do the following - New OSC design / layout - Install seo friendly urls - Install quick checkout - Contact details... add a telephone number / email address ... people like to know where they are sending there cash. - Payment methods ?? I don't want to go through 8 pages of registration and checkout to find that you dont support the payment method i want to use. - Categories without products ? why ? PM me if you need a osc designer or any further help.
the layout looks unprofessional.move logo to left side.site found too simple to me.u need to work with more colours. Abhilash.
