Cobalt And Calcium was made about a month ago, already PR4 too! Anyway, the site is a fansite for my favorite indie rock band "Coheed and Cambria", and the design theme resembles the appearence of their first album.
Hi Briank, The site looks great, the look and feel is cool, and i especially like the design of the main links. However, there are a few things which i would like to bring to your notice. First, the black background of the site may not be suitable for everyone, consider the visually impaired people, who might also like to surf your site. Even if you don't think about that, then for anyone surfing the Net for long hours, the black backgroud does not give a soothing effect to the eyes. Second, if you can remove the horizontal scrollbar on your site, then the usability will be greatly improved. Third, it would have been great from my point of view, if you had put the About Us page on the forefront, instead of the news. You got to tell a new person what your site is about first. These are just some suggestions and it is entirely up to you to take head. So, please take the comments in a positive light.
Gutsy, I have been involved with doing a page dealting with the Texas Music Scene. If you look at the websites for groups involved in the Texas Music Revolution, they nearly always have a black background and involve slow loading javascripts. Viewers do not tend to belong to Geriatric set by any means. Shannon
WHat? Haven't you been reading your demographic charts? TMR is barrelling through retirement homes nationwide. I like your site Briank! I would ask you one question: How much sucess has been brought to you by putting your link code on the main page? Do you have any idea HM IBLs that has generated?

You know better as you have worked for them. Anyways, i will again reiterate that a black blackground is not easy on the eyes. It makes reading a bit difficult in general but exceptions are always there. That is my perspective.
I had expected to see an opening page with a more "Rock" theme. I must say it didn't give me that impression. It might be a good idea to at least put a picture of the band to the opening page. Also, you may wanna consider have it smaller rather than having to scroll through a lot of text. I like the navigation; nice and simple. Good luck...
My suggestions: 1.) The main content is too cluttered. Try using <br> tags more prevalently to separate individual entries. 2.) If I were a Coheed and Cambria fan, I probably wouldn't know it if I stepped onto your site (besides the title). Try to exemplify it as a fan site for Coheed and Cambria. Cheers!
Really creative title tho. but if your fanbase was exclusively comprised of nerds, you'd enjoy even more traffic, methinks.
Hi, Great website...clean and sharp....i like it. Also logo font is nice. Maybe your content on splash page is a bit long. Also dont like only white texts on subpages...meaybe some gray fonts would be nice. Jan
My site is now re-designed with a completly new design by a professional designer (buddy of mine). I've added even more pages, and we're now up to about 1,300 unique sessions per day. We are not in any good spots on any search engines what-so-ever. It's been about three months since I have started this site, and I haven't been able to see any improvements on any of the search engines. Any ideas?
One point of criticism - the "About" link at the top is hard to see because the earth is so bright underneath it. Other than that, the site looks great!
Yeah, thanks! On macs the nav is much more bold. For some reason on PC's with firefox/ie, it's not as bold.
