Review - BlogTech Technology Blog

Hello,

I would like to request a review of BlogTech, my new technology blog. Here is a little information about the site.

Quick Information

• We went live on 28th May 09
• We have 2 article writers including myself
• We have had just under 500 unique visitors in 6 days
• I submit each article to a few social networking sites
• I have not paid for AdWords or other advertising
• I have has BlogTech submitted to some directories to help boost PR

I hope the person conducting the review can give constructive criticism (on how to improve) rather than just say its good or bad. Such points could be made on:

• Design
• Content
• SEO Tips
• General Evaluation

* Design - 5/10 , If you are using free theme , There are lot of better themes
* Content - 7/10 , In Related posts text is missing
* SEO Tips- In Main Title , There is no keywords , Put few keywords and work on them
* General Evaluation - 6/10 , Overall a Good Blog

 

Thank you so kindly Tulip, it's a purchased theme, cost $30, I would like to get a custom theme made, but of course, money is the limitation. Could you recommend some good places to get free themes for this sort of blog?

Your design is very clean and simple. I like it mate. Your content is usefull too. Try to promote your blog, and you'll get better traffic.

 

Thanks buddy, I am trying to get the word out but I'm a shameful-self-promoter I'm great at article writing and getting a site online, but for SEO, I need help. I have submitted to about 100 directories, and submit all articles to Social Bookmarking like Digg, StumbleUpon. Also, getting alot of traffic through Bing recently, other than that, you have any ideas?

I must say that I actually really like the design. It is somple and clean!

 

Thanks MRR, I decided to go with a simple design as I don't enjoy visiting a site that is too complex, or overcrowded with content, yes this layout is repetitive, but everything is in order and organised.

its nice but make more posts in each page and make a good logo

 

good site, but i suggest moving your adsense ads up next to the picture (on the left of it) will get some good ctr.

Website is ok however I would change the blue header to a medium - dark grey.

and have the bottom footer background stretch on auto width as the top is.

 

Please add in some tag.

 

It's great for new sites.
You need to put simple navigation or categories, so people would easily select interested topic or product more faster.
You need to improve you theme. Anyway, great job bro

 

Generally it looks great.
You need to place Contact link to get suggestions about your site from the visitors.
