I like the forum site better. The first one just doesn't do it for me. Doesn't look gaming related. The forum doesn't look like a gamers' site either, but it's a little better. See if you can find a template that will give it more POP.
Not too keen on the colour scheme I'm afraid - a bit too 'bright' for my ageing eyes. But hey, maybe that's just me.
