Hello all, I am looking for some people to check out my anime site and let me know what they think of it. I am trying to increase the site's profitability and I have been working steadily at this. There are many back links pointing to the site. It being a anime wallpaper site, I get a lot of targeted back links from people posting the wallpapers on forums. However, I seem to have peaked at my traffic of 28K UV's per month. I would love to be able to push this site to above 50K. Any help with this would be great! The site is Anime Wallpapers. I know that changing the domain name would help. However, the one I am using is well aged and I am the original owner as well. changing the domain name will remove all the back links (unless I 301) and it would cause me to basically start over.
OK honestly speaking, the banner is horrible. The theme is very basic; you're supposedly running an Anime wallpaper website, but the theme is incredibly lacking, and your site seems more like a blog then a wallpaper website. Also, 301 redirecting the domain might be a good idea, the traffic will remain after all, and you can then focus more on SEO. Edit: the last post was from June? You are using Wordpress, right ?? Try to find another theme, colorful theme maybe. You can add favicon too. But, nice site by the way
if you have article website then wordpress theme is fine. But you have Anime Picture website I will recommend you paid script find and buy i am sure you will gain traffic as well as and you will be more successful... Thanks

Thanks for the reviews. I will look into all of these suggestions. Currently I am not going to be using a video stream until I can gain enough money for a dedicated server. Any other suggestions that you think will help improve the site would be greatly appreciated.
** Looking back at my post, read the improvements backwards - the third one is the most important. 1. Make it easier to find things once someone arrives. Paging through a blog is not effective, and the tag cloud, plus links to archives are not very helpful. Search is ok, but people just want to click to browse. 2. The experience of getting a wallpaper is pretty basic. You assume that your readers know what to do - add some content, maybe a link on every page, that explains how a user can download a wallpaper and then use it. Include directions for Windows and Mac. 3. Your fans probably know the meanings of phrases like "death note" and probably come to your site through a Google search. You're probably getting maxed out at page views because you've reached the limit of your market. Expand your audience. Capture people like me who have no idea about anime and why I might think it's interesting. Add articles, reviews, and maybe content that describes the idea behind anime and why I might find it interesting. Hope that helps - good luck.
