I had started a website a couple of months back, I have put up a lot of content and done some SEO work on it, I have spent a lot of money on content and some on SEO. Although I have not spent any money on Design, it is hosted on Blogger, with a good domain name. Most of the content is unique to the site, some is re written. The site is ranking pretty high for 2 keywords with a combined global search volume of about 70,000/ month, but I am barely getting any traffic from there or generating any revenue. The site is also ranking for other low volume keywords as well as long tail keywords. Any advise/suggestions would be appreciated. http://www.dogdisease.info
Hey, thats looking good! Althoguh the links at the bottom are barely visable? Or maybe thats just my eyesight lol
Thank you @myeasycpa for your comment, any suggestions you might have would be very helpful, I am aware of the color issue with the links havent gotten around to it yet. Every One I would appreciate any ideas on how to monetize the site.
The first thing that pops off the top of my head is to target with dog training books. That's probably the easiest way you could monetize your website, but I don't think it would be the best. Try to contact some companies that sell dog nutrition and health supplements (for example) and say that your website gets 2k/views for month and that's 2,000 potential customers you could send to them. Sell your site. The other thing I could think of is to offer some reviews on doggy medicine, supplments, and the like and then provide a produc tlink to Amazon with the Associate program.
Sam, thanks for your advise, I have adsense and amazon affiliate on there already, the problem is also traffic is not so high, I dont understand why though.
It is first in G for the url which is good but at the same time low pagerank. Well everything is about the traffic, if you have it you have the profits so you need more directory submission and some article marketing and link exchanges?
What exactly is "pretty high" for 2 keywords with combined 70k searches? Because you say you're hardly getting any traffic, either you only see your site ranking high in G (make sure to empty your browser cache and cookies and see if it still ranks high) or the tools you used for getting the search count are way off. The site itself looks well designed and clean though, good job.
@Beige, Thanks for the input, I have already done some directory submissions and paid my way into 40 pr 4 directories just a couple days back. I think I will give article submission a go now. @backlink excellence, I am ranking no 3 on G for one keyword with 50,000 global searches according to adwords keyword tool and 4-5 for another keyword with 33,000 global, i myself find it strange that not many people are coming to the site through these keyword searches on G @kissmp3, thanks i'm in the process of figuring out what to do with the right side bar.
