I like the color and layout, but it'll more minimalist without wings on the background. If you feel it's empty without wings, you can use simple texture ie. line, slant, box etc. for the background.

I can't figure your banner is it ultraman, robot or what?

You need more padding on left and right side is too close with the border, and dont have use - (dash) on every beginning paragraph.

 

add border to.. left site those boxes.

 

I like your overall look, but have no idea what the banner is meant to be, as post 2 pointed out.

Also, I feel that the popup menu for product is a little awkward that doesn't suit the style of the layout (perhaps make it a little bigger or in tune with the main menu?).

The banner is somthing abstract it has no meaning. I thought it was to empty without the shape on it. I'll try a border. I'm dutch thats why their are spelling mistakes ;-).
