Reverse Engineer Flash Based Site

I've just had a strange request. Basically, I have been asked if I can transfer a flash based website from the server onto a disk. It is a company's site and they own the domain but don't have access to the source. It sounds odd to me, any thoughts?

Can this be done from the URI? And if so would it be ethical to do so given that it is another designer's work? Any comments greatly appreciated.

the swf files can be saved quite easily in most (but not all) cases. if you need to modify the flash content, you'd need the original file.

reverse engineering is possible but incredibly complicated and messy.
