We can make $$$ for real. Not smoke and mirrors. Real Offer.

    Here is what I propose.

I have been contacted ALOT about paid posting for posts etc... (first time per word though LOL) anyways....

realistically I cannot pay EVERYONE that wants to post... especially in start up... this forum site will expand to over 500 forums before too long.

    My Idea is this.

ie. Lets say that you are a Chicago Cubs fan or whatever team/sport?).

I would like to propose this arrangement.
Lets say you become the Mod for the Chicago Cubs forum at playpost.com

    your responsibilities will be:

    - Moderating the forum
    - creating new topics(interacting with posters)
    - writing articles(if so desired) and/or posting news
    - getting others(personal friends, other fans etc) to join and be part of YOUR forum
    - placing links directly to Chicago Cubs forum on your webpages out there(on the ones you can)

    advantages:

    - you dont incur any costs to host/program the forum and for the most part(it yours to run within reason and common sense) we can go over details if and when the time comes... guidelines etc..

    - we can do a revenue share deal based on your involvement and assistance in YOUR forums growth
ie. after I figure out the base costs on my end(programming/hosting/mainenance etc)... we can work a % out of the ad revenue that is brought in by your ie. Chicago Cubs Forum

Thats a rough idea I just had... dont know if its off the wall...

When it comes down to it. Money can be made for you and I. But I would like to stress that I would really like people that are more TEAM Fanatical-driven that just $$$ driven.... the money will come if you love what you do and it will show in your work.
Just want to hear thoughts on that idea...
    Y

I suspect forum startup costs are so low that anyone who meets your moderator requirements would rather start their own. Then there is no question of who owns evryting, who has control, etc.

I hear ya and completely understand that.

Maybe just asking in the wrong place. Obviously just about everyone in here can start a forum.

Maybe I need to look into areas where people are less inclined to start up a forum and just Moderate it like you see all over the web.

    Thanks for your input.

Since the startup costs ($ not time) for a forum are small, why not start it yourself and then groom active posters as mods and offer a small fee. It will be a lot cheaper in the long run and avoid LOTS of potential problems.

I think looking in other areas is a good idea to; there are content areas where they still give high PR links without recips at no cost :)

Yeah, you should try finding other popular baseball forums, join and scout them and offer the mod job to regular members that are active and really into it.

On DP you'll mostly run accross webmasters who wouldn't get any advantages in that kind of partnership.

    Thanks for your input.

Although I dont completely agree with the last statement. I think there IS a potential upside for all involved. I was looking for some "team players"(not the "ANYONE can do that, why get involved in yours").......... obviously just about EVERYONE on here is capable of starting a forum.

I appreciate your insight on the thread. :)
