Hi, I have seen the amount I am paid per click drop significantly in the last week. Previously it was $0.90 to $1.50 per click and now I am getting like $0.30. Could it be advertisers are not pushing near as hard now that Christmas is over, or did my sites get put in some bad category?
This happens every month as the end of the month approaches, campaign budgets run out because they were nto properly managed and there are less advertisers bidding. The campaigns will relaunch on teh 1st, not too worry.
I am in the 40 cents range. From about 75 cents. Sucks big time. Cant wait for the 1st to see how it goes. Thanks Slava.
I have noticed this too. It usually happens each month, but it is more noticeable this month due to Christmas. I noticed a big sudden decrease in my RPC Dec. 22.
RPC will get a boost when January starts and all of the advertisers who don't know how to manage a monthly budget restart their campaigns.
Mentioned this in another post but no one responded... Someone said that yahoo search marketing reworked there account management tools, allowing advertisors to now bid seperately for content ads and search ads. This could be why revenue is so much lower now, some might opt out of even running content ads... off yahoo search marketing help, don't know if this was a option before Overview: Content Match Content Match complements your Sponsored Search campaign by displaying your ads alongside related articles, product reviews and more. Provides an additional source of targeted leads. Distribution partner network includes numerous content and information sites, such as Yahoo!, CNN.com and others. Includes the option to define a separate bid for your Content Match clicks. I dunno what I read might be wrong, I just looked in the old manager and seems I can specify content bids in the Overture manager...
It may be the 10th of the month, the 1st of the month, or the last few days, I see really no difference in RPC. On my site(s) it changes a lot from one day to the next, on one day it shows $1.20, the next day it may be 30 cents, the day after that 80 cents, then 18 cents the next, etc....... Mine has jumped around like that for months.
