As usual my revenue went to about 50/60% of normal as of December 24th... and will probably stay down there until at least mid-February. This has happened for a number of years, so it isn't a shock, I'm assuming its because a lot of advertisers only advertise up to Christmas. Am I the only one seeing this again?
The following are what we are improving the website: Updated WordPress to newest edition; Updated the theme using newest theme to support mobile and desktop platforms; Replaced most of classic AdSense ad units with Responsive ad; Adding good quality articles daily; Modifying existing article, to make them better quality daily.
I have seen the drop only on Christmas and New Year's day, otherwise the earnings have been similar to other days. The advertisers are also the same before and after Christmas and New Year.
I've noticed a large decrease in my adsense revenue since around the week before Christmas til now. I have been running some experiments on my ads to try and optimize my earnings, so I'm hopeful that the experiments are the cause. I'm not going to hold my breath though. I have also noticed a pretty significant drop in acquisition of organic traffic too, which I'm sure is part of the cause. I guess I'll have to wait and see.
My traffic hasnt dipped, but earnings are down a lot. Did this the last 2 years and didnt come back until at least Feb.
yeah same thing here im on youtube, with the same amount of views as i did prior to xmas, but with revenue dropping around 50-60%, must just be due to advertisers spending less around this time of year. I have faith that i will get better soon
Each year is the same. The upcoming months are tough for me every year. I get better in far April. And this is repeating like every single year, both offline and online for me.
I’m seeing a slight dip in traffic and a HUGE drop in Adsense earnings since December.. Record low earnings and CPM - lower than it’s been in 10 years. Youtube views are up and earnings are also slightly down, but nothing like with Adsense on my websites.
