I am working with Amazon selling books, but it doesn't seems very profitable. My earnings newer even paid for the Contents digitization. In what niches can one make money? Did anyone worked in DVD/Blu-ray/CDs niches?
A little tip for you if your promoting amazon.co.uk ... commission is limited to £7 per item which (depending on how many products you refer in a month) makes the optimum product priced between about £80 and £100. Aim for that. Any more and your wasting effort (it is harder to sell higher priced products), any less and you will have to sell a lot. Find a niche, it is that simple. My definition of a Niche (in affiliate marketing terms): * Highly targetted * Little competition * Sufficient traffic/customers to make a profit * Customers willing to buy online Do your research my friend
Mainly - the niche you're an expert in.... If you're an expert - you can make money out of any niche...
Right, there is no secret money niche noone else knows, but if you are able to write good content that interests people, you'll be successful. Just don't try to look at the price or popularity too much.
or make a business with products from China - I friend of mine did that with high class leather boots and it works...
The niche doesn't really matter as much as your business knowledge and application. My advice is to think hard about business principles and how they apply to the niche, not the other way round. I'm selling books also, and I make US$1400~ per month, or about 500 items per month.
China wholesalers are scammers of the 1st degree... I'm out over 400 b/c the douche that told me up and down that he was selling legit products AFTER the sale and AFTER the time expired when I could return the products that they were in fact "great replicas" and he had the audacity to say, "but I think you knew that. " as a closer... These people should be reported to Chinese authorities and made to pay for what they're doing! I read a report about a woman who got 17 years in US Federal Prison for selling products JUST like the shoes you're talking about. The FEDS raided her house, took the merchandise and threw her in prison. No questions asked. Beware of China's counterfeit goods! BEWARE!!
I've recently (only a week ago) started as an amazon affiliate, after reading info product killer, which seems pretty good. he recommended building websites around specific buying keywords, like "canon 590 best price" and just getting infront of your prospects after they have done all their research and are looking to buy. In the course he demonstrates many websites in various niches.
this seem to a very good approach. but of course, you still need a lot of seo'ing before the blog will become visible to the search engines...probably very minimal impact...but it can become very good selling tactic in the long run...but needs a lot of works
Would anybody think that I would be wasting my time trying "Blackberry Mobiles" as a amazon.com affiliate. with a homebuilt website and good seo?
I wasn't talking about fakes oder something like that - I would never sell fakes. As you might know Ebay is full of it. I meant when you have an Idea for shoes or boots or you are able to design them and then they are produced in China - as you might know all the big shoe companies do that. And when they are produced you can surely give them your won brand them 'cause they are unique... Never sell fakes - just your own ideas!
If you are interested, I've been putting together some micro-niche keyword reports based on research and information using Market Samurai and offering that information for $7. I monitor shopping web sites for keywords that are being searched for by potential customers and take that info and perform keyword research on it. I show screen shots of Market Samurai detailing the front page competition on Google along with the number of monthly searches for that keyword phrase. I've already had folks make money and rank on the front page of Google with the information presented in the reports. Check out the link in my signature for more information. Best, Brad
It's a difficult question to answer as it all depends on you. Are you going to really commit to getting the traffic as I'm sure its a highly competitive niche and think about all of the companies that have HUGE budgets out there to promote mobile phones. That's who you'll be competing with. If you are thinking long term and have a good plan and experience driving traffic then its a big market to get into. But to be honest, if you have doubt and are asking this question in the first place, it might be worth going for something less competitive. good luck with your decision.
I would suggest having a mother site e.g. "Blackberry mobiles" which can promote all blackberry mobiles.... then have loads of mini-sites for each blackberry model e.g blackberry-curve-8520.com. Focus on building traffic to your mini-sites only. From each mini-site link back to your mother site using your main keyword as the anchor (blackberry mobiles)... over time your mother site will gain authority and lots of "relevant backlinks" from your mini-sites. everytime a new blackberry model is released build a new site, send out press releases, get links from web 2.0 sites (senuke) write articles & submit to article directories etc... It's hard work, nothing is easy anymore - but it can be very rewarding over time...
