Here is a powerful article that offers a candid look at the situation Americans are in today financially. The concept of America being a land of opportunity is rapidly becoming history: http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/august2007/020807Barons.htm Also, this article is written by economist Paul Craig Roberts, who served under Reagan. I've been attacked for my "economic views" on this forum before, so I would like to just include that bit of info.
And if you listened to their well paid mouthpieces in the media, every industry they wanted to export was compared to the buggy whip in its turn. Or course these industries are far from obsolete. The real reason for the outsourcing etc. is obvious. They want more money for themselves (they are already millionaires) and have totally disregaded the social contract. The most obviously ridiculous aspect of it is how many politicians are all for universal healthcare, all manner of safety regulations etc., but who will gladly allow food from places like Cina, which regulators do not propely inspect, to be brought into their countries. This should tell you what they really care about. Money (power, potential energy) rules the rulers of the world. Once you accept that, you see a lot of things more clearly.
This is the absolute truth. Money is truly the key to everything, and so is energy. I recently talked with a guy that goes to the local university here, and he is majoring in engineering. He had the nerve to tell me one day that "money isn't important." Now here is a guy who owes $20,000+ in student loans, and that doesn't even include the compound interest. I told him that once he graduates, someone with "lots of money" is going to give him a job. He will work for someone else, and he will do so because they have money. A lot of Americans are in denial. They still hold onto the old fashioned belief that Americans are rich. No, only a handful of Americans are "rich." Hell, the gap between the rich and the poor in this country is so big, that even the "super rich" make the "rich" look poor. You know what pisses me off more than anything? The fact that in addition to outsourcing, they are now bringing foreigners into the U.S. to get the few remaining good jobs. Are you kidding me? Not only do wie have to worry about outsourcing, now we have to worry about "insourcing." It is a complete joke. Hey Briant, what did you think about the prices the robber barons spend on stuff in that article? $50 hamburgers, $1,000 omelets.....$300,000 plus watches........these people consider a Rolex Watch to be low level! You know what blows my mind? All that money comes from the masses. The dumbed down and ignorant population gives them all the money they have. Just like with this mortgage situation in the U.S. The dumbed down population got played by the robber barons once again....... When will people wake up and realize they are being conned? The reason why they can buy $50 hamburgers is because they're smarter enough to sucker you into going into debt.
They spred the money around within their own little sphere well away from the prols. They are just reversing the whole idea of the social contract and the idea that everyone has value as a human being. They want serfs, not fellow citizens. Their exportation of jobs and inportation of cheap labor was sold as somehow beneficial to average people. Amazing The prols in the West have become too big for their britches and their "masters" are trying to fix that. The elites of other countries seem to have the same idea (not that this is new in the dealings of "leaders"), just look at what percentage of Indians and Chinese are actually benefitting from an increased standard of living in all this versus how many are kept ignorant and impoverished.
Yeah, it pisses me off. I don't have a problem with the Rich, but here is what makes me REALLY angry. 1. When the rich buy off government officials to pass laws favorable to them. 2. When the rich have monopolies in certain industries(like oil) and no one else can compete. 3. When the rich get together and literally try to kill off the rest of us. Think eugenics. One of the ways I fight back is by not giving them my money. A few weeks ago, they released the crap phone(I mean iphone), and a bunch of idiots here at DP were singing and dancing about how great it is, a $500 cell phone. So anyway, Steve Jobs is worth $3 billion, and where does he get the money? By selling morons over priced crap. I may never have as much money as Steve Jobs, but by keeping most of the money I make in my pocket, I will sure have a lot more than most Americans will ever have. Some of you who are reading this thread may be wondering what we can do about the problem. Well, on a national level, its pretty hard. Our government is basically whored by the super rich, so appealing to them is a joke. Therefore, I have some solutions you can use on an individual level: 1. Stay out of debt. When you're in debt, you're a slave, period. 2. Stop giving your money to corporations that are nothing more than monopolies. Save as much money as possible. 3. Become self employed. When you own your own business, outsourcing and insourcing can't affect you as much. 4. Stop getting your news from mainstream television shows. They are all owned by the super rich, and don't talk about anything of importance( all television shows in the U.S. talk about these days is celebrities). 5. Start buying precious metals like Silver and Gold. When "they" blow out the economy, you're going to wish you had it(paper money means nothing.) 6. Vote for Ron Paul. He may not win, but he is the best chance we got. Just about every other candidate is bought and paid for by Corporate America. 7. Get educated. No, I don't mean going to college. Start reading by stuff that matters, history, geopolitics, eugenics, finance, tech. Learn who the big players are in the world. 8. Buy a gun. When the economy crashes, or a dictatorship arrives in the U.S., you're going to have to fight the government. Either that, or end up like the Jews in Nazi Germany. I don't plan on being a slave, what about you guys? If you do these things above, you can survive what is happening in America. I've written an e-book with detailed instructions on how to survive and prospect in a country that is rapidly in decline.
