http://www.theseminal.com/2008/02/12/watch-the-retroactive-immunity-vote/ wtf?!? What a load of crap. How come I never get to do some forbidden shit and then be pardonned? Oh, yeah, I'm not a corporation nor do I have billions
At least Obama voted against immunity. Hillary didn't even bother voting. And of course Insane McCain was on the wrong side of the vote.
Wow. Harry Reid's word held up, for once. His email to me a few weeks ago stated: ... I continue to strongly oppose full retroactive immunity for telecommunications companies... Code (markup): And I'm glad to see his vote align with mine for once. The result is ultimately ridiculous though. I'm sad that immunity passed. I'd love to see a class-action lawsuit against all of the senators. The Telcos are off the hook, but our representatives aren't. This country has gone downhill. It's all uphill from here though... @#$%^@$%&$@!%&
I understand most of you are against the war in Iraq, and one can make the argument that were not fighting a standard military so we should use limited military power, but one of the area where we have the upper hand is in technology and the ability to listen in on the enemy. To not listen in on them would one border on recklessness and maybe even treasonous.
Well it's clear the indoctrination is working quite well on Citizen Soniqhost. But honestly, nothing has happened in courts to find the telcos at fault, and aren't most of these lawsuits in the discovery phase? The whole purpose of these lawsuits right now is to figure out IF the telco companies infringed upon the rights of citizens in their "fight against terrorism", and that is something valid that will be crushed before it's even discovered if this immunity passes the House. You're basically saying you agree with pardoning the telcos before we've even fully uncovered what they've done, and I think that is a bit reckless.
