Just curious what YOU consider a good keyword phrase/niche. I'm thinking in terms of how many searches per month vs. how much competition exists. I've heard suggestions like 40+ searches per day with less than 20,000 exact match competition, 1500 monthly searches with less than 5,000 exact match competition, etc. But I'd like to know what the people here on DP, who are successfully finding niche keyword phrases, use as criteria. Thanks!
One of the recent fads is to search for keywords and niches based on an R/S Ratio. The 'R' is the number of websites found with that keyword as reported by a search engine search (the supply), and the 'S' is the number of searches on that keyword (the demand).
Assuming that wasn't a random link-building forum-stuffer... I understand what an R/S ratio is, which is why I asked. I'm looking more specifically for the details of what people use as a cut-off. What number do people look to keep their R over, and what number to they look to keep their S under?
