Results from PPC advertising?

I have only used Google AdWords and Facebook ads for a few months and my results have been negligible. From talking to other small businesses, they seem to be encountering the same problem. Anyone who has had success have any tips?

I personally don't believe in PPC advertising because its not permanent. If you work hard with SEO, and reach the first page of google for your keyword, then you will get longer lasting success.

PPC advertising might not give good result if you are not choosing the right keyword, you need adwords expert to help or you might consider to try out on buying ads space from the website/blog which related to your website too

You will have to test your ads. First use CPC, once you can ensure your get a high click rate from your ads, change to CPM. You can then get full use from your ads. There's a new technique that expose the loophole of getting FB ads for free ad well :)

You have to choose your keywords carefully and make sure that they're relevant. Do not combine a large list of keywords into a single ad group and under the same ad since this will make your keywords and ads untargeted. This will result in a low CTR and your ads will show rarely due.

if you have good budget & good list of keywords then PPC is good. If you want long term results then SEO is good
