Hi, today I was tracking a keyword "get rid of sleeping disorder" for my site www dot health-beauty-advisor dot info where KwTracker return no listings or positioning for my site, but instead by googling I've found my site in position 18 on Google. Same for the keyword "get rid of sleeping disorder and insomnia" where my site is in 15th position on Google. How can this be happen? greetings Werner
a: The keyword tracker is accessing a different Google data center. b: The keyword tracker uses the location of your server, so may even be using Google from a different country. c. Google uses your search history and sites visited (Web History) to deliver you a more personalized search. even when not logged into Google.
What's the URL you are tracking (exactly as entered in the KW tracker)? I'll see what's going on with it.
This is the most common reason and maybe an example will help you understand. Lets say you live in the UK, but use the Google com instead of Google UK, well you will not get the same results as someone living in the US as Google knows that your datacenter is UK (through your ISP identification). You can test this by using a US proxy sever.
A search engine ranking position monitor tool, also called serp monitor, checks periodically the position of websites for various keywords. They can be displayed only, or being stored for later analysis. No search engine allows automatic querying of positions with tools Most do not provide tools for this. So it can be done by hand or with a tool. This tool mimics the behavior of a user so it looks naturally to the search engines.
