    hi!

What if I click on the "resubmit sitemap" button in the google webmaster tools!

Will my previous links that are indexed from this sitemap will be removed and then started indexing again??

Maybe, but I would ask Google to be sure.

yes, I have the same question.

If I never click the resubmit, the google will fetch the sitemap from that url regularly, and update the changes to Google index?

    Thanks

Google does not 'strip old info' for the sake of starting over.

If an old link no longer exists, it will take them a little while and the old link will go away.

Re-submitting a sitemap will alert Google that you have new material, but it won't "force" them to visit it immediately and it won't 'restart' your site. They will get to your site when they can, but at least they know there is something to see when they get there, and there is a reason to see what you have now.

I have had bad URLs (removed from my sitemap and website) that stick around in Google for a week or two after submitting a sitemap.

I have never 'lost rank' after resubmitting a sitemap.

I have seen some poorly SEO'ed sites that lost rank after submitting a sitemap, but I attribute that to finally showing Google how poorly your site is setup.

Out of the literally millions of sitemaps I've created over the years, the only ones to get hurt by it had issues that prevented them from ranking in the first place. Once the issues were fixed, these same sites take off in ranking!
