Resubmit my site to Google (submitted when .htaccess was active) to get indexed

I accidentally submitted my site to Google before I removed my .htaccess file. So Google got an authentication error when it attempted to access the site. I submitted a new sitemap the next day but it still is not indexed. MSN and Yahoo picked it up within hours.

I was thinking of deleting the site in Google Webmaster Tools and then recreating it, and resubmitting the sitemap.

I'm afraid since it got an authentication error the first time, it put it on a list to not be indexed, or will index with very low priority. Anyone ever run into this issue?

I read somewhere that you will actually get deindexed for 90 days if you remove your site from webmaster tools. Hmmm..
