resubmiited sitemap - crawl rate problem by google

    i resubmiited my sitemap today in google webmaster tools....after few hours i see the following error

    Crawl rate problem
    We were not able to download your Sitemap file due to the crawl rate we are using for your server. For information on increasing crawl rate, please see our Help Center article .

    shud i increase crawl rate a bit ? will this make problems with my cpu resource consumption or anything of that sort ? (i m using shared hosting) :confused:

    I'm guessing your site have tried to change google's crawl rate. You're best just leaving google to determine best crawl rate :

    From a google employee response on google webmater forums.
