Restrictions on buying european domain extensions?

    Hey Folks ,

    Just wanna know as i have heard that if im not a EU union resident then i cannot buy .nl, .eu, .dk etc.
    Is it true?

    Who can register a .eu domain name?

    Any company or organisation based in the European Union and any natural person living in the EU is eligible to register a .eu domain name. These eligibility criteria are defined in article 4 of the EC regulation 733/2002.

    I wanted to buy a .ve domain name but it looks like the only extensions open for out of residents are third level names like ve.com.
