first guess it's a database problem . check and see if the database username has all privileges to access the database

Check your configuration.php to see if all your settings are correct in there.
When you login to the admin panel, are all the articles etc showing up correctly?
Try renaming your .htaccess to htaccess.txt to see if that helps at all.

What tweaks/changes did the client do to the database? Hopefully he hasnt made changes to the database structure.

If you rename to htaccess.txt to .htaccess (opposite of above) make sure you had your admin panel site configuration updated (there are two/three options on top right side regarding .htaccess functionality) make sure they are enabled.

The other possiblity sounds like a commercial s5 theme being used / template / Any confirmation on that?

Hi, I am researching about an "Restricted Access Problem". It happened after I imported the dump for shape5 template into my MySQL database. Any ideas about that? Thanks for your help!
