Restoring phpbb database on different domain

    Hi all

    I was hoping to get some assistance with restoring a phpbb databse onto a different website/domain. I am very familiar with backing up/restoring the database onto the same website, however transferring it into a different domain is new territory for me. If I were to keep the current directory structure, is it just a matter of installing phpbb onto the new domain keeping the same directory structure and restoring the database as normal? Any help would be appreciated.

    Create new DB and record login info.
    Restore.
    Move the files as they are, but of course edit the config file with the new db info.

    Shouldn't be a big deal at all.

    Thanks guys. I always prefer to just do a clean install and restore the database approach (the forum uses the default template) I'll checkout the forum posts you directed me to ministrel cheers.
