This would really come in handy for me, so I imagine there are more than a few other members. More often than not, I respond to a pm , then go back to delete it. it would be great if there was a button that let me do a respond / delete, so that after the pm is responded to, the pm gets deleted. Would save some type and help not fill up the pm box so fast.

Nop that would be actually the worst feature ever, since people would randomly delete (specially the moronic ones, around 70% of dp) and then complain about it here..

The new ongoing fad will be for scams:
oh um sorry steve, i deleted the pm so i thought not to send you the 100$ after the site/domain was recieved, take it up with mods..meeehhhh

    Edit

    Shawn's answer:
There is a reason we have a "select all" and delete pm option.

Hmmm, you can always use "I thought I sent you a pm" but maybe I didn't make myself clear on this one. When sending a PM, you have a series of options under "Miscellaneous Option" for example "Request a read receipt for this message" and I thought maybe one could be "Delete PM after sending" as such it would be a conscious decision to have to check that box. With the fear of scams, the PM doesn't get deleted until something is sent. I can't imagine this will change much in terms of communicating as you can still delete messages, just now it takes a few steps, this combines that into one.

I agree with GNet, it will give an increase in number of scams a day.
