Respectable Stock Brokers

    Hello,

I've been looking into stocks for a while now. I've predicted quite a few trends, and my friends have made a combined of about $150,000 in the past 6 months from my watching.

So I've decided to actually start doing stock trading for myself. Unfortunately, I live in Canada which means many of the reputable stock brokerages are out of my reach. And I've known many companies which simply take the money, fold, and come up under a new name to repeat the process.

So, does anyone have any respectable Canadian-accepting broker firms? Possibly with a low "per trade" rate, as I work with penny stocks, and it tends to need quite a few buys/sales within a day.

    Thanks a lot!

Yes, they don't accept Canada. TD is quite ridiculous about this, I believe, as TD does stand for Toronto Dominion. Quite ignorant of them not to accept Canada.

Have you tried TD Waterhouse? They are owned by TD Ameritrade so might be similar in reputation.
I don't know if they accept canadian funds but there are also Charles Schwab and E*Trade.
There is also the canadian version of HSBC (http://www.mlhsbc.ca/), which you could look into.

Or, best yet, check this list: http://www.ndir.com/SI/brokers/discount.shtml#07

These all offer online trades. I don't know if you were looking for a real human being broker... that's a different story.
