Hi ppl, I've a few people writing content for me, somewhere from 3-4. They can produce somewhere around 20 200 word articles every day. I'm a designer myself, Joomla based to be precise, I do designs for people, and use my skills to make my websites as well. But the problem is that I'm not able to monetize my sites quite well, I get around 6-10k pageviews on adsense, and make a depressing USD 10-20 sum from them, my Joomla earnings apart (that's another story, and I'm quiet content with this.). So I need your suggestions and advice on how to actually put my resources in the right path, and to monetize them the best way possible, I think to start with, 50 dollars a day would be a good amount, if achievable. Thanks for your time anyway.
Have you tried CPA network monetization such as CJ/Azoogle? What about TLA (Text Link Ads)? Maybe even AdBrite? Have you tested anything like that before?
Never tried anything else, but I heard Google has the best eCPMs, isnt it? I know, and this option has always been open, and I'm trying, thanks anyway
Hello NTSIN The question is: What are you doing with the traffic you are getting? Are you building a list,,,,,,,,or are you only relying on Adsense or site advertisements? I wrote an article recently "Why Getting Contact Information Will Create Profits On-Line"...google the title in quotations, may give you some ideas what I am talking about. I have also wriiten articles on article marketing such as "How to Create Your Own Article Writing and Article Submission Strategy"
Yes I'm bothered, but people taking it as an opportunity for self promotion is the least I expect here.
Well...surprise! You get a lot of that crap here. If you haven't thought of this already, you could put in more fun ads. Products that would sell better: Screensavers, ringtones, icons, greeting e-cards... Don't put in boring Google ads! Go look at sites like, collegehumor.com. Many of the ads appeal to the young crowd. Make your site come alive and seem fun and informative with the right kind of ads. Another thing that sells is sex pheromones. I thought about doing that on my site, since I write for singles, but I just couldn't bring myself to sell that pile of horseshit. Another thing you can do is to write short articles on cool and funny stuff, and insert affiliate links in them. For example, write a funny but informative article on condoms, and insert this video in it http://www.prontocondoms.co.za/ Then put in affiliate links for condoms, and other sex stuff. Just about anything that is cool and funny sells. Just about anything that deals with sex, music and videos sells. These are, basically, the only ways to make money with so few visitors.
That's not really what I can do to my sites, they are movie review types, to be precise. But still do you think I can sell off DVDs with these?
Well, why can't you branch out? Does it have to be JUST about movie reviews? Maybe put in other categories in your site? As an example, you could call it "Other Stuff.'' Then put in the matching ads? Think outside the box. I don't see why you couldn't sell DVDs. It's worth a shot. Find the best online sellers, and see if you can sell 'em too.
