Resize many images at once

I need to resize some pictures taken with a camera to add to a website. The quantity may increase to about 100 or so. Is there any free software that will resize multiple pictures for me to a sensible size for use on websites?

I assume your post means that I should use Google before posting a new thread in DP? Well thank you for the TIP. Very useful, I will go a learn of this new found site called google.

The last time I checked Google was not able to provide me with an opinion on which software they find suitable/easy to use. This forum thrives on the shared information of members.

I like DP because many of the members here are helpful, informative, intelligent and most importantly willing to offer their opinions. Have you used that link or did you just pluck it from G?

What is with people today. Is everyone deliberately being argumentative or are people simply being obtuse. How is your post relevant to this thread other than to throw your 2c in.

It is not directly related but in the development (and programming) of a site I was looking for software that would do the job being discussed above as this may effect the developemt. I was not sure where to place the initial thread as there was no resize an image forum.

    Thanks for your superb input.
