I have a laptop HP pavilion zv5000 and i had a problem with it.when I tried to change my password in BIOS,something went bad.At the next restart of my laptop i was asked for a password that had the same number of letters as the last password I had,but it wasn't it,it wasn`t any password I ever used on my laptop.
I went to hp.com and talked to about 10 repersentatives, they are useless, all they do is give links from diferent documentation and manuals.
Anyway,i started disasembling my laptop in search of the CMOS battery which is suposed to disable the system password.
After having a great deal of bad luck i have finaly found the freekin` CMOS battery.Advice for you people out there, never try this without a specialist.
Anyway,i reached the battery, that was it.It had a + and -,it was marked Maxell I think, and it was round.I tried to get it out but I realised it was integrated, the + and - metal bars that touches the battery on the up and down side cannot be moved !they are stuck together! It's useless,I don't understand!!! Hp makes its laptops in such a way that only their specialists are able to work on their system board.it has such an devilish design that makes you wanna go crazy.
Anyway, what is the problem with the CMOS battery?why dosen`t it come OUT???
I didn`t see any jumpers around there,no nothing!!! HOW CAN THIS BE DONE?
I have heard diferent people saying that when you forget your system password you can throw your laptop in the garbage can, other people saying that removing the battery on laptops dosen't reset the system password.
I want some special help,as I told you on HP.com there are just some ordinary guys that know how to search for .PDF.
    Please help....
