    Hi guys

i thought to post this after seeing some topics in b/s/t section

some people have reserve price means he/she wont sell the product/ site for less than that. now people keep bidding and at the end the biggest bid is less than reserve and the seller wont sell it. waste of time isnt it

why not avoid reserve price and increase the bid start amount :confused:

It's a convenient get out if the seller decides they aren't getting a high enough offer. It allows them to try and sell another day, hopefully when the bidders are feeling more generous. Even if they don't sell their product is getting some extra exposure.

It helps the seller to start the auction with a low starting bid without having an obligation to sell the item if the highest bid is not satisfactory.
