Researching domain names! Using a suffix like 'Bay', is it worth it?

    H guys,

I'm currently researching domain names for a science based information site which I hope to monetize in the future!

I've found a couple of options where one has 'Bay' as the suffix. Having a look around google gives some mixed reviews about whether or not a certain Bay company would try and stop you using this in your domain title?

Appreciate thoughts from others who have looked into this before.

    Thanks

If the certain "Bay" company is "PirateBay", I wouldn't sweat it.

Given that www(dot)theBay(dot)com goes to a department store up here in Canada, I'm pretty sure no one can claim "Bay".

I expect the "Bay" company is "eBay", not the pirate bay.

If you don't compete with ebay, I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem with it. That means no auctions, no store, etc.
