Hello DP members, I have a sort of creative block, and I need your advice to get moving. Here is the deal: an owner of a hotel on Caribbean is looking to sell his property. Preferably, to a foreign buyer: UK, USA, Germany, Japan, China, Russia. The owner does not wish to deal with agencies, or create a big fuss in the neighborhood looking for a local buyer. My job here is to try and find people who can be potentially interested. The owner is not providing any budget to post ads on real estate database sites. The real estate niche is so overcrowded, it is taking me hours to browse through websites that do not match this confidentiality criteria. Any helpful links and suggestions would be highly appreciated. Best regards, Dan
Hi Dan, Do you know about LinkedIn,Facebook Groups? Join real estate related group in LinkedIn and Facebook. Post discussion in group at LinkedIn and also same for facebook. Thanks.
Thank you! I guess I need something more specific like a link, or a search request to help Google get me what I need.
You need something big to post on like craigslist. Other than that all those tiny real estate sites won't do much of anything for you. Are you profiting from the deal? If you are, why don't you post your own ads with AdWords or Bing and then talk to the interested buyers from all the aforementioned countries via skype or on the phone? You may end up spending only a couple hundred $$ before someone may get really interested in the property. You never know.
Thank you! Craigslist was not even on my mind. For the moment, I am not profiting from the deal. If or when we get to that part, I might use your advice and invest in advertisement.
Find a business broker or post on a business for sale website: www.bizbuysell.com www.123businessesforsale.com www.businessesforsale.com www.daltonsbusiness.com www.bizquest.com
You can check many online websites over the internet. If you want a good buyer for a property. I also used these websites in the past. www.bizbuysell.com http://thepropertybuyers.co.uk/ www.businessesforsale.com
Another way would be to search companies with large portfolios with similar style properties. Reach out to them directly through email, linkedin, mail, phone etc.
If it's interest in that area you will never escape from agencies. Try local newspapers in UK, DE, etc.
