Research before you pay

recently i bought some links in paid inclusion directory for my new site,
but how we can use less money and for a valuable result back?
i found some sites that can make a reference for you before pay money.

so what factors we should consider?
#1,google pangrank
#2,Alexa
#3,DMOZ/Yahoo directory
#4,google/yahoo backlinks
#5,website design -- good and unique design will make more impression?!
#6,domain age -- higher pr/Alexa but younger would be great?!
#7,price

will you pay 1 link at a directory with higher pr or 2 links with lower pr by using the same amount money?
let me know what you think.

PR isn't the only factor.......

 

i am really confuse why some directories whit pr0 but pricing $5-7 for a regular link?the alexa are about 30,000-50,000.
is it a problem for a site that alexa 30,000-50,000 but pr0?

 

No they are probably sat at a pc hitting the alexa site crap which then gives a rating that is not justified

i would choose the owner who has only 1-2 directory,
as they have time for more focus and improve on their sites.

 

Nah,Chris has around 10 directories and he's doing very well with all of them.
