I'd like to announce a re-release of the www.searchennetworks.com search engine and directory.... The have been alot of new changes to this engine and the way it works....

One of the most interesting changes to you will be the lowered cost of a listing. The listing price has dropped from $29.95 to $19.95

But that hasn't been the only change.... Some of the changes made since the first update is that editor opportunities have been elliminated... There was just much too much editor preference going into the additions.... I suspected that this could become a problem and no doubt it did... There are no longer public editors in any of the catagories....

Another change was we moved from the MSN feed to the Google API which has been working much better.... The search results are of higher quality and that will make more sence for everyone....

The PPC system has been temporarily elliminated until I can figure out a better way to incorporate it into the search results without decreasing the search quality... I do expect to add it in the near future though, but I will be trying to add them only to the sponsored areas...

If your interested in getting a site listed in the directory portion, than you can PM me for networking opportunities.... Those who wish to provide me listings somewhere they have resources to do so, I am more than happy to work something out... Only those who pay for their inclusion will be able to modify their listings via username and password.... Modifications will go through a quick editor approval process, but atleast the abilty to have some control over them is of great value.....

If you have seen this engine before you will notice that their have been other changes aswell, but they are minor changes made to increase the search engines crawlability and overall clean appearence.... Not really worth mentioning without boring you to dealth, but alot of things have changed...

There will be more changes coming because the job is really never over, but for now, it's back to a point where I feel comfortable with it again...

If you like the engine you can link to it or use it's search box feature somewhere... That is always appreciated.... :) http://www.searchennetworks.com/searchonyoursite.html

Like your search engine clasione, it's indeed faster with the google results. Imo the font in the searchbox is a bit small. Where do you pull the results for the images from? And I'm wondering does the shopping section do well for you? It might me a suggestion to show the results of the directory into the search engine before the google results, that way it's even more interesting to submit a website to the directory.

Good luck with running and repromotion your search engine.

Are you using firefox..... I do need to address that issue.... I also tryed the directory sites coming in before the search results, but it was dampening the overall experience of search... It just wasn't working.... The engine was suffering on quality results fast....

    Try updating your tool bar.

You should not let PR be a deciding factor in every marketing decision you make...

And I do not think $20 bucks is too much for advertising a web site long term. If $20 is too much for you, it is time to shut down...
