Hi everyone, I create my illustrations and icons in Adobe Illustrator. Recently, one client wanted an icon that will represent his application which will be the icon in Windows Desktop, Palm, and other devices. I'm not sure if there are special requirements in creating these icons? In what format should they be in? Should it be .ico? Or a .png file with transparent background should be okay? What should the size of these icons be? The client doesn't really know much also so he is asking me to do it. Any help will be appreciated... thanks!

There are a surplus of icon formation tools to be set up on the internet, ranging from certified level tools through utilities bundled with software development programs to stand-alone freeware. Given this wide accessibility of icon tools and icon sets, a crisis can take place with custom icons which are unjust in style to the other icons included on the system.
