I've always thought it would be interesting to have a free directory that requires some action other than payment in order for submission to take place. I haven't necessarily come up with a perfect method, but maybe you will have some ideas. I'll start with mine. After entering your information and clicking "Submit", there would be one more page that says, "Your submission is almost complete, but we need you to complete one final step." The final step might be one of the following: 1. Please click on these 3 links. After you have visited the pages, the submit button will become unlocked. 2. Please write a description for the following website (it will be another site in the directory). Writing a good description will insure that your own site will be reviewed and accepted. 3. Your session is being logged. Once you visit 10 pages from this directory, your submission will be approved. 4. Your session is being logged. Please surf through our directory, and visit some of the sites. After you visit at least 5 links listed in our directory, you submission will be accepted. So instead of payment, we might get people to help with descriptions, or increase visits to those listed and page views to the directory itself. Anyone have any suggestions or additional ideas?
