    Hi

Well i got the idea from a new plugin for Vbulletin, anyway as I sure you are aware, myself and other memebers have received spam via pm from new users, who dont care if they get banned. By implementing this procedure, the spam would be gone :)

Anyway I cant think of a disadvantage of using this at the moment, anyway feeback is appriciated.

    Thanks
    Ash :)

Well I think it should be 25 or 50 posts to PM someone. Otherwise you can't send a PM to members.

    Please add a poll here.:)

I don't think it should be a large amount of posts, then they'll just spam before they send it out. You could get 50 in half a day easy.

I think it should be say 5posts and 2days limit to PM someone. ;)

Well I am not too concerned about how many posts users will need, the moderator team will be able to come up with a good number, I simply want to know if DP usres think it is a good idea :)

Eh, we need to make a minimum post of only 10, otherwise the noobs will spam to get their posting numbers.

I agree that if their was a certain post count to be able to PM, they would just hunt up some threads to say something stupid in and then start with their spamming.

They would just say hello to 10 or 25 members in the introduction area to meet their post count and then spam away.

they're here solely to spam anyway. might as well kill the bugs early on. doesn't take 2 minutes to find an online mod and forward the PM.

Has been discussed before. It wouldnt allow members to contact mods in case.

And if I want to spam, I dont care for few posts like 25 or 50...;)

It wont eliminate, simply it will make more spam posts in BST section as well!

That's not an old member? A senior member would probably be like 03,04,05?

I'm pretty sure "old" was a play on "'ol".

that's a great idea! or perhaps make it something like you can send 5 pms a day! then they can't spam much, and senior people can have a bit more sending power!
or perhaps the pm sending power can be made proportional to the reputations:rolleyes:
