I require a quick review of Dream Host web hosting service. If you have used this service already, please tell me how is this service. Is it OK to take web hosting from them for an year. What are the downtime stats.. Is downtime frequent? How are the services? Are there any other issues which would bring problems for webmasters?

Never got a downtime, they have software to block ddos. I'd recommend waiting for one of their specials. I got a whole year free. Takes only awhile tog et used to their panel. My site load fast, free domain, I can't say more.
dreamhost is a piece of cake. their support is extremely slow. no livechat, no phone support. they'll reply your email in 12-24 hours. the up time is very good
You would have probably got lot more responses to this had you posted it in the Site & Server Administration > Web Hosting Forum They are nice. I haven't noticed any issues. I checked www.dreamhoststatus.com for my server, it shows up in 4-5 results. There was one network issue, a server migration recently and couple of reboots. Their panel is quite good. Takes a while getting used to, you can get whatever you want done! Some things are lot easier to do than with cPanel, some not. In case you decide to sign up, check the Offers section of the site in my sig for a discount code. They have replied to my medium priority tickets in 1-3 hrs. (Edit: I just checked, its < 30 mins for all my tickets! )They were just some queries and not problems as such, except one. They don't have free phone and live chat, but I never felt the need for it till now Sometimes, they keep live chat on everyone.
