    Hi
can anyone help me out, how to Copy the meta tag , and paste it into your site's home page. It should go in the <head> section, before the first <body> section.

Now in the word press code, it does not show any head or body section.

I really do not know how to do it in word press as my website is in word press. I have copied it into the Html on the word press but it does not make any changes. On the contrary it shows the whole code but does not recognizes the code.

Is there any other way to reconsider the website for the google if you have it on word press.

    Please advice..
    thanks

I am guessing you're wanting to know how to complete the Google site verification process so that you can access their Webmaster Tools to submit a reconsideration request.

The easiest way to verify a site IMO is to use the HTML file verification method (assuming your site returns a 404 HTTP status when someone requests a page that does not exist which WordPress typically does). So to verify your site try this:

    1) Login to Webmaster Tools
    2) Click the Add Site button
    3) Enter the name of the site (www.example.com)
    4) On the Verify Ownership page, select Upload an HTML file from the Verification Method dropdown list
    5) Follow the 4 simple instructions listed:
    - a) Click on the link in instruction 1 and download your unique verification HTML file to your local desktop.
    - b) Use FTP to upload the verification file to the root of your web
    - c) Verify that the file can be accessed in a browser
    - d) Return to the Verify Ownership page in Webmaster Tools and click the Verify button

    Done!

Once you have verified that you are the webmaster for your site, Google will allow you to submit a Reconsideration Request.
