First off, thank you for looking at this topic.

Here are all the details of the request:
I'm currently looking for a sponsor that can provide a couple of servers (preferrably owned) about 30-40. For the servers, they need to be able to be transferred to a UK cabinet. Or sponsor about $10,000 USD. I know thats a lot to sponsor for, but, its for a project thats starting up with about 19 project workers.
The plan of the project is to create gridlayer hosting. We also aim to create monitored hosting for children or people under the age of 17.

This will require a vast amount of time and effort. But, we hope to create a better hosting site.

In return for sponsoring us, you can get up to 50% of the profit. The more you invest, the more you'll get back.
We'd be glad to accept more than one sponsor.
Please reply to this thread if your interested.

    Hello,
Before anyone will take you up on your offer, we need to know more about the project. We also need proof that the project does indeed exist and this is not a scam. I would also suggest you include the name of the registered business, if any.

    Thanks,
    David

Well, what exactly would you like to know?
What proof would you like? It does not have a site at the moment. Its in the background makings. As for the name of the registered business, we have none. Just a group of people who want to offer great hosting with reliable systems.

You can post anymore questions you have. I'll be glad to answer them.

    Hello,
Honestly, your best option would probably be to merge with a current host for a share of the profits. That way you could just make a great host even greater! I honestly don't think people would offer free servers or $10,000 to sponsor a host-to-be; at least not over the internet. Such a sponsorship would require probably 2 lawyers and a large contract. But yeah, I think your best option would be to contact current hosts to see if they would be interested in taking 19 new members aboard for a percentage of profits or set salary rates; you would probably need to contact their Human Resources department.

    Thanks,
    David

Thats not what the project is about. Most hosts only care about the money or customers. We are trying to start a friendly hosting environment, thus why we also want to offer monitored hosting for kids.

Do you mean to provide free hosting?
Is that what you mean by "Most hosts only care about the money or customers."

No, we'd like to start a host, almost like others, but has the capability to expand. We have many ideas we'd like to build on.

I can offer you a free account here <signup at the bottom of the page> where you would be able to setup a webhosting company from the ground up, free of charge.
You will be given unlimited space / transfer, and setup your own prices. A billing system is setup for clients, so your profit is made on the fly.

    No money down.

Thats not what I'm looking for. We've got a lot of experience and we are wanting to start a gridlayer-type host.
