    • It's not your thread
    • We don't delete threads just because you feel uncomfortable about it
    • If a problem has been resolved others might find it useful to know that while there had been a problem it got sorted out ok

    Probably not.

There is a legal process you can go through - but as I said, people don't mind that there have been problems, it's how they are resolved that counts.

Take it to heart that you're responsible for your employees. The case is closed, and all are happy, but there is no reason to remove the thread, as has already been stated. This board doesn't delete threads, unless there are compelling reasons to do so, usually legal ones. This does not fall into that category. However, I have no connection with the board, am not an admin, so I have no say - maybe the admins will reconsider, but I doubt it.

Best course of action is to contact the thread author and request that he create another thread explaining all. This way members can judge for themselves and you will be vindicated. However if thread author won't do it, then some would have questions.

We don't need a third thread - I'm happy to reopen it if anyone has anything to add.

Whitewashing your online reputation does you no favours. Being seen to be proactive and to resolve disputes is what matters. And that doesn't mean that the customer is always right, it might be that you've explained carefully why your company did something and why you stand by your actions.
