Hello Guys! I have emailed paypal to have an option of express check delivery when withdrawing using cheque. As current cheque delivery takes around 3 weeks. I got a reply, that If more people request the same, they may bring the express delivery (Fedex or speed post) for delivering of checks.
yea like adsense , but i dont think they will implement it..if they had to implement this they would have done is 3-4yrs ago itself..
I have an Axis Bank Account, after i got check, how much time it takes to get clear is it in USD or INR ? need more information on this please.
They are charging too much for express delievery system , i think normal check will reach within 15 days
very true! Indians were requesting long time back, when only check was the only option, nothing worked!!!.
bhai i have mailed them 4 times for this issue in last 3-4 days and they have sent back crappy email everytime
Like normal local cheques - Interbank Clearing, it will clear in 2 days. (Remember Paypal cheques are INR cheques - Citibank, any branch in India). The only negative thing about the cheque is the delivery time from paypal to your place.
People are anxious to receive the checks safely and in time as nobody believe in the efficiency of the Indian Post! If only Paypal obliged, people would be too happy to spend little money and get the job done by a private courier company! Regards, RightMan
yes that would be the best thing paypal do without bank withdrawal option.. or else they will loose some business. already i had asked some of my paypal paying clients to send by western union or direct wire.
Well I dont think paypal would use express delivery...... As they will be loosing too much . Trust me... If you have to send a parcel to other person how much would it charge.... Now if your giving to More then 10 thousand people how much you will be charged. T_D
why they cant print their checks from India office and despatch it from Mumbai or Chennai office? they can do this easily using a computer and net connection. they can save a lot of money and also earn more Indian customers. is that not simply writing a check.? does paypal purposefully delays check payment?
Indian post is not efficient. There has been quite a times that postman handed over the check to some neighbor and they kept the check because of jealousy. One other time, they sent back my pp check to paypal. This despite we have been living same house for 15yrs and we know the postman very well! i went back and forth to postoffice, talked to postmaster and they told me there is no way to trace a letter sent my ordinary mail. One other time i got my pp check after 60 days (2months) of transit. I hate to say this, but this happened to me. It could happen to anybody.
dude this happened to me too...twice if the check is delivered at wrong address neighbours simply dont care to deliver it and at the end i had to mail them about 10 times and then my check got cancelled after 1 month
On paypal blog Farhad Irani from Paypal has given is Paypal ID. I will be emailing him directly as he is aware of the situation. Many people will not mind paying a few extra dollars to paypal for express delivery.
the only thing that indians can do now is to send money to their friends outside from india and send them back the money via xoom cash pick up coz it will take only mins and the money would be available
