    Hi all
I had requested for reviews on this site and after the feed back, carried out some improvements.

Also I have added a section for free download of scripts where webmaster can download some use ful scripts for free. I intend to add about 200 scripts over next 2 days

would request for feed back and review of the site

i think people here will tell you that your ad placement is good and should get you a high CTR.
I'd work on your header banner just to jazz it up and let people know your site is somewhere they should come to for reliavble info...making each visitor as long-term as possible.

    Hope i've helped.

Thanks all, as a part of site revamp, some changes in banner were done, but probably not being good in designing is my handicap. However would try to work on it again.

Would offering free down load of scripts(more are coming up) be helpful to gain traffic?

Too many adds, it detracts from what you are saying. BUT I almost accidently clicked on 2 of them, so good placement!

Your content is good and well written. Adding a forum might increase 'stickiness"

Yes, the site has too many ads, would work on correcting this issue, what some times finance too becomes a issue, especially when the site is to sustain from adsense alone, the costs of content, scripts and templates etc.

Yes, would work on having forums too.... Thanks for reveiw.

I am seeing ads on many places so its is becoming ads place and your sites content is hiding between these ads.

What is the website for? Is it for adverts only or to provide a resource?

Too many ads. I don't think that ads should be placed to be accidently clicked on when the website is designed for web designers (they are usually familiar with the traits of adsense code).

This method is better for non-web technical people (if indeed this is the way you wish to follow - not my choice!)

Why not spend time on building a strong resource without too many adverts but completely targetted adverts. I usually bookmark pages of interest to visit at a later date but from my experience they are not usually packed with adsense.

If, however, the website provides "niche information" I will bookmark it and if a ad is relevant to the content and suits what I am looking for, I will click on it. Basically, how adwords was designed.

I think to last a long time in adwords you need to have good quality content.

I hope that what I've said isn't taken as deroragatory - it is just me being honest and trying to help!

Thanks Stuey, thanks for honest review and believe me it is not at all derogatory. In fact, such honest reviews only help you improve. In fact I too personally agree with these views and improtance of content can not be over emphasised.
While I have tried to include content too, without any compromise on quality (I dont how much i wud succeed in this) but ads too, in the longer run are expected to play a role in sustaining the site

Thanx again for your time and review

Chawlars, don't worry about the adsense (yet!) -

First priority; build a website to please/service the audience you are aiming for.

How many websites do you click on and then immediately leave, because of too many adverts or poor content. I guarantee many!

From statistics that I've read it seems that people usually click 5-7 times within a website before clicking on an advert (I'm sorry but I cannot remember where I read this).

Think about it, your content is relevant to the person searching - they look/click through 5-7 pages (this means that you have their interest - excellent). Now, if you have their interest it is also highly likely that the relevancy of the adsense is suited to your visitors interest. I think you can work out the rest from there!

There are many methods, black-hat and white-hat to drive traffic to your website but what is the point of having 200 visitors to your website when 190 people leave at the front page. And, for arguments sake, 2 people click your ads. You have wasted much time and effort getting 200 visitors but 2 conversions.

Now, what if your website is relevant to 100 visitors of the 200 due to the content being very close to (or exactly) what they were searching for and how your website was indexed in the SE's ? .... plus... the content was very good too. Your chances of ads clickthrough is much higher.

If you have a really good resource for a particular subject and maybe help someone on the board (digital point) by suggesting the link to your resource, you may find that it is also collected by other posters when they search for the same information.

You need to detatch yourself from the adsense "gold rush" and concentrate on what people are looking for or need. It is much more rewarding ;) and when you recommend your site to other people you can be proud that it's not an adsense production unit, but a valid resource!
